Thyme to Explore
Bronte Country
Haworth is famous for public footpaths in and around the village. Some of the most popular walks are around the reservoirs and the Bronte Falls. Walk along Bronte way visiting the Bronte Bridge. This walk leads out onto the bleak moors where you can visit Top Withins (rumored to be the setting for Heathcliffe’s farm in Wuthering Heights).
The Thyme House is situated a few minutes' walk from Haworth Parsonage museum where the Bronte Sisters were raised and authored their most famous novels. Guided walks are available for those wanting to know more about the Bronte’s. Or take the famous ghost tour.
Walking down the quaint cobbled main street, browsing through individual shops, pubs and tea-rooms, you will eventually come to the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway, made famous by the film The Railway Children.
